A band group which had been founded by four brother vocalists namely Nick and Drew Lachey, Justin Jeffre, and Jeff Timmons. It was named 98 Degrees. The group was formed in 1995 by Jeff Timmons after he decided to leave university and head to form such a music band.
That was first time when at a college function he had his voice praised by the female audience. Over years, the group refined itself and attended many auditions in Los Angeles to make its way through the music industry. Their first ever chance to let the world hear their voice was in that very year supposedly, 1995. It was Paris D’Jon who gave them a chance to manage for 98 Degrees to open for Jordan.
Their style of composing their songs had an influence of R&B. Later in 1997, they were given a chance to sing live at a radio station where they made their success and were renamed to 98 Degree from Just Us.
1997 was a year of their first album to be out and afterwords they performed at concerts in Asia too. The following year, after they had appeared Mulan movie, the group went even popular and released a second album 98 Degree and Rising that was given a platinum.
In 1999, This Christmas album which made them appears as featured guests on Amy Grants’ 1999. Over the last decade, 98 Degree albums sales soared and became the #1. In numerous numbers like hot cakes, new albums were sold such as The Collection and millions of copies were sold hot cakes.
Early this decade, the band broke up to fulfill their ambitions and in 2004, they reunited. In late 2000s, they Jeffre and Timmons performed in support of Ralph Nader at his Minneapolis Super Rally on September 4, 2008. Two years previously in 2006, it was declared that Timmons shall be taking part in TV series Mission: Man Band.
