A.C. Green was born in Portland in 1963 and is a retired American NBA basketball player. Green has been the only player who had played in more consecutive games than any other person. Before he began his career life, Green studied at Oregon State University where he was a super student.
He was a All-Pac-10 selection as a sophomore. In his junior and senior levels, he scored a goal percentage of 0.657 and 19.1 points respectively. In Los Angeles Lakers, after winning the NBA championship, Green was selected as the 23rd overall pick in 1985 NBA Draft. Even here, Green had done extremely well during the six years with his team.Due to his extraordinary performance, he was later named to the NBA All-Defensive Second Team in 1988 till the following year. In the year of 1993, Green quit from Lakers and signed the Phoenix Suns as a free agent.
The Suns reckoned Green as the potential to their group when they lost several times, six times consecutively. However, the mid 90s, was a time of downfall for Green; though he was the team’s second-leading rebounder, he was elbowed in the face by J. R.Reid and got concussion but even then, he was able to take part in his game by wearing a protective mask.
In Dallas Maverick, Green was put in there. He brought reliable rebounding to the Mavs leading the team off the boards. Green played 1000th consecutive game in late 90s against Vancouver. In life, he missed only three games.
Later he returned to the Los Angeles Lakers in early 2000 where he won his last NBA Championship. Pat Riley and Green later were reunited at the last game in the final season with Miami Heat.At present, he is the Ambassador of basketball for 3BA International and the owner of the Portland, Oregon-based 3BA basketball franchise. He is also a member and endorser of Financial Destination, Inc.
